Reviews of Google Sheets
I Quit Excel!
Comments:
Very pleased with Google Sheets, we use it daily , we integrate it in many business operations its part of the ecosystem.
Great software, free and lightweight.
Ticks all the boxes.
the new updates with some AI integration are cool too!
Pros:
we've used Excel for years, it being the industry standard somehow, we found Google Sheets way better. Lightweight No setup required FREE! Easy collaboration - you just need a Google account. Third party apps and Google App Scripts, to further create custom functions. It's portable and available on cloud. one more thing, the UI is clean, you do not get lost and the function names make sense.. try that with Excel! good luck!
Cons:
Only thing i could think of from past experience, wish we could Lock or Disable "editors" from downloading or exporting the sheet.
Google Sheets Review
Comments: Really good, I like using Google sheets and I am confident when using Google sheets as I know it is very good and reliable when it comes to a number of formulas that I need to add up. It is also very fast and secure.
Pros:
Easy tool to use, adds up formulas for you itself. Really good and advanced features. Nice and quick, saves automatically. Amazing when creating tables and forumulas.
Cons:
One thing I don't like about Google sheets is there is no spell check, for someone who inputs a lot of data in to Google sheets and is typically a fast typer, spell check would be amazing to have. Cloud based so always has to have internet
Google Sheets
Comments: Overall Google Sheets has all the features we need at an attractive price.
Pros:
You can’t beat the price for Google Sheets. Excel is obviously the standard, but Google Sheets saves you a lot of money.
Cons:
Everybody knows Microsoft Excel so Google Sheets is not to hard to learn, but switching applications is always hard.
Shareability and control makes Sheets stand apart from others
Comments: Whether my files are for an organization or for personal life, the shareability and control over access is the greatest feature Sheets has. I even have my parents using it! and it's free so it's a no-brainer to use for everything. Most of the foundational elements of a spreadsheet are there but being able to work in collaboration with others is such a game-changer from the old Excel days. I know it's simple but the value is immense.
Pros:
I love how shareable the files are. The control it provides over accessibility such as edit and read access, for your org colleagues, or per individual - is excellent. and don't forget about the file versions in case you need to go back to an earlier version.
Cons:
It's different from Excel and that has taken some time to get used to. I often find myself hopping over to Google to find a certain formula or to figure out how to find a certain feature - though I did recently find out that many of the same hot keys work on Sheets as they do with Excel.
Sheets - the only sheets app you need
Comments: Google Sheets is the best sheet platform I ever tried, the fact is backed by Google it offers me a great credibility and trust.
Pros:
The most important feature to mention is the collaboration and the fact that is stored on the cloud and accessible from anywhere. Sheets is very versatile, easy to use and the formulas can really improve the productivity with ease. The fact that multiple users can work in the same sheet in the same time decrease tasks durations.
Cons:
Nothing I can say I like less, everything is working as it should be. even better.
A Powerful Tool for Collaboration and Data Management
Comments: My overall experience with Google Sheets has been positive. Its collaborative features and ease of access make it a preferred choice for many projects. While it has some limitations with larger datasets, the advantages outweigh the drawbacks, especially for team-oriented tasks.
Pros:
Google Sheets is highly accessible and allows for real-time collaboration, making it easy for teams to work together. The integration with other Google Workspace tools enhances productivity, and the ability to easily share and comment on documents is invaluable.
Cons:
Sometimes, Google Sheets can be slower with larger datasets, and the formula capabilities, while robust, can feel limited compared to desktop alternatives like Excel for complex data analysis.
Google Sheets
Comments: Google Sheets is a versatile and complex spreadsheet app that excels in data management. As is a cloud base app, it can be accessed from any device as is stored in Google Drive.
Pros:
Sharing and collaboration is the main feature I like at Google Sheets as multiple users can edit and add data in the same time without the need for save. It has an intuitive interface and is easy to use and learn. Formulas are very well documented and easy to apply withing the sheets.
Cons:
The fact that is accessible just online although I would prefer live collaboration than offline access.
My experience using google sheets
Comments: My overall experience using this app was pleasurable and straightforward allowing me to produce programmes in a legible format

Its compatibility with serving its purpose
Cons:
The function commands that would pop up when typing full stops eg

Pros:
super straight forward, and easy to use.
Cons:
don't really know, but I think they could make better tutorials.
A more interactive version of Excel
Pros:
It's incredibly easy to collaborate with other members of the team. Sheets has all the standard functionality of Excel, but with the added benefit of enhanced collaboration. It's also very simple to create spreadsheets and add in scalable logic.
Cons:
Not really much at all! Sometimes there is an issue copying across Excel files and Sheets files.
Google Sheets' review
Comments:
As a teacher, I have been using google sheet for many years, for preparing results for the students, categorizing their marks from semester to semester, keeping records on the basis of their percentages, that was difficult to keep these material in the paper files.
The marvellous thing is that google is helping the world to control the environment, in enhancing to wards paper free world.
Pros:
- easy to use tools. - interface is clear and understandable. - keep saving the works. - saving with out using memory of the computer. ( cloud saving)
Cons:
- probability of slowing down the system because of the huge traffic through out the world.
Nap with sheets>Office
Comments: Was apprehensive at first as an avid excel user, but now it would be difficult me to go back.
Pros:
it's like excel 2.0 with way more integrations/add ons and more freedom.
Cons:
uploading documents from excel sometimes causes issues with formatting or formulas
Google sheets makes life easier
Comments: Overall experience is one of the best programs I've been using.
Pros:
That everything is easily able to integrate with in our system
Cons:
I can honestly say that I have found nothing that I dislike as of yet
Alternatives Considered:
Forget about Microsoft Excel
Comments: Perfect, I use sheets in so many different ways for so many different workflows that it is even difficult to summarize.
Pros:
I like how easy it is to not only use it as a spreadsheet, but also integrate with any Google Suite product, or even use it as a full-fledged app with an embedded script
Cons:
Could use some of the more advanced tools excel has, such as using VBA scripts
Fed up of multiple docs? This is a great choice
Pros:
As a freelancer I work with lots of clients, and the time I have saved by not opening up a 'version' of an excel doc has been incredible. I can see who is watching, share edits, allow controls over who can view or edit, and I'm able to track changes with ease. The collaborative power of Google Sheets has truly revolutionized the way I manage my freelance projects. One of the standout features for me is the real-time collaboration. Being able to work on a project simultaneously with a client or colleague, without the hassle of sending files back and forth, is a game-changer. The ability to see who's viewing the sheet and share edits makes for a seamless and transparent workflow. No more sifting through endless email attachments or dealing with outdated versions of files - everything is right there in one place. I liked that I can give read-only access to a client, collaborate with a teammate to make a document right, or keep a document private ust for me. I do hope my data isn't being consumed for AI!! Also worth mentioning the revision history is good as well.
Cons:
While the cloud based nature is great for remote work, it can suffer from going offline. I've also struggled to autosum on some files whereas with Excel that was really easy.
A Lot Better than MS Excel
Comments: Google Sheets is a well-rounded spreadsheet tool that excels in collaboration and ease of use. It's a fantastic choice for individuals and teams who need to organize data, perform calculations, and work together seamlessly.
Pros:
While both Google Sheets and Excel are powerful spreadsheet tools, Google Sheets shines for several reasons, especially for everyday users and collaborative teams. Real-time editing & free access make Sheets perfect for teams and anyone with a web connection. Auto-saving & cloud storage ensure peace of mind and accessibility. Strong formulas handle most everyday tasks. For everyday use, Sheets is fantastic. Easy sharing, auto-saving, and cloud access make it a breeze. It's great for most users and their spreadsheet needs.
Cons:
I cannot find any right now. I am really happy using it. I use it daily.
Simplified data visualization
Comments:
Google Sheets is something we use on a daily basis from very basic to more complex tasks
It's so simple that we don't need to use resources to teach new teammates how to use it
Pros:
Accessibility, anyone with a Google account can use it Very powerful formulas and the extensions are excellent as well There is no learning curve so anyone can use it right away
Cons:
The API is very complicated and it's difficult to connect with third parties for that reason
Storing data within google sheets and cross integration with external tools
Comments: My overall experience with collaboration and creating and accessing metadata has been great.
Pros:
The sophistication that is allowed with not only storing data but also organizing and calling it outside of the sheets is the best feature. This is harder to do with other products in the same category.
Cons:
The compatibility of Google Sheets and Dropbox is not excellent, which often poses issues when creating a sheet within Dropbox. This is problematic, especially with the storage limitation within Google. If there is storage on Dropbox, it's hard to create a Google sheet within Dropbox. This has multiple crash issues as well.
Google Sheets
Comments: Google Sheets is an easy to manage spreadsheet app. Working with other in the same time is possible with neat sharing options of a viewer or contributor. Also there are available phone apps for Android and iOS witch makes Google Sheets more accessible.
Pros:
I consider Google Sheets the ultimate spreadsheet app (at least from what i used until now). I really like it because it works very good and is really fast even with large amounts of data. Another great feature I really like is that the spreadsheet is stored securely in Google Drive and can be accessed from any device, this also makes sharing possible.
Cons:
There are no cons for Google Sheets from my side.
Alternatives Considered:
