Plug and play accessibility compliance
Pros:
Plug and play accessibility compliance, with a guarantee
Cons:
So far so good, I have not had any issues with the product
UserWay is an Indispensable Tool for Users and Web Managers Alike!
Comments: Overall, my experience with the UserWay plugin has been really positive. As a web manager and user of our website, I find using the UserWay app on desktop and mobile seamless and really helpful. I always find when another website implements the UserWay widget, it always enhances my experience.
Pros:
Visually, I think the widget is really appealing on our homepage, and it doesn't feel intrusive to your overall experience when interacting with the website, while also providing functionality and accessibility to users. I also enjoy the customization options within the management tab, such as color, icon appearance, and button location. Additionally, the options provided in the trial version of the app go above and beyond some of the other accessibility widgets that we tested.
Cons:
I initially had some trouble successfully signing into the widget on our WordPress site. It said that the user that downloaded the plugin was Team [sensitive content hidden], and I was unable to make any changes through our dashboard, and on a few occasions, I got a notification that there was an Account ID Mismatch, which caused us some trouble. Luckily, I reached out to a UserWay customer service representative, and they assisted me in resolving the problem quickly and efficiently.
Alternatives Considered: accessiBe
Reasons for Switching to UserWay Accessibility Widget: I preferred the look and usability of UserWay more so than the others that we tested, and the trial version was more comprehensive than other ones.
Jira connection needs some tweaking
Pros:
That it connects with Jira so that we can distribute across the product teams
Cons:
The format in which it creates the issues makes it arduous to discern which part of the website it's on unless you go into each ticket and read the description. It'd be more helpful if the page was the first part of the issue title.
UserWay Response
Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear that the Jira integration is helping with task distribution across your teams. Your suggestion to include the page name in the issue title is excellent and will be shared with our development team for consideration. Enhancing clarity is a priority for us, and we appreciate your input in helping us improve!
Very Good Service with Very Good Support.
Comments: Excellent. So much better than their competitors.
Pros:
I used to think that all these widgets were the same, but after trying two of their competitors and being unhappy with their usability and the company's support, I gave UserWay a try. Three years later, I still use them, which says a lot. The other big plus is their excellent support. I have always had a good experience with them if I had an issue. I highly recommend them.
Cons:
I find the pricing delta between their smallest package and the one above it to be too large in price and page views. I wish they had one more pricing tier between the two. That's the only con I have.
A descend Accessibility widget + more with top class tech support
Comments: The best part is the technical support Userway have. They are one of the best and tries to investigate and fix issues that are limited to the installed platform.
Pros:
Technical Support was the best thing that I liked about Userway. Their efficiency and attitude to solve the issues reported are much appreciated.
Cons:
Pricing is still a bit on higher side. There are features that we dont use. May be if there are some flexible pricing based on unused / not needed features, it will be great.
A fully customizable, legally compliant Accessibility Widget that will keep you covered.
Comments: Overall I would say that the UserWay Accessibility Widget has been an invaluable part of our eCommerce experience. It allows us to better serve all demographics who may be interested in our product offerings while remaining legally covered.
Pros:
I appreciate the ability to customize the UserWay widget and implement it in a lot of various, intuitive ways. It's an out of the box solution that can cover your ADA needs, while being implemented in a unique and custom way that fits your brand voice and style guidelines.
Cons:
The default implementation of the widget is slightly intrusive and takes up a little bit too much real estate, but UserWay offers many ways to have the widget only triggered when needed, as well as customizing the placement and size of the widget selector.
Alternatives Considered: accessiBe
Reasons for Switching to UserWay Accessibility Widget: Userway was a more comprehensive solution that provided a better peace of mind vs other alternatives
My 2 cents
Comments: This widget gave me peace of mind, I’m in California and there are small businesses that are getting sued for not having this in place
Pros:
Modern feel and very intuitive product, and I feel that is is easy to use for people that come to visit our website
Cons:
Nothing really, really great product. Maybe adding more graphics
Alternatives Considered: accessiBe
Reasons for Switching to UserWay Accessibility Widget: Felt that it is more professional and intuitive
The best accessibility widget!
Comments: It has been a great addition to our website and extremely easy to implement.
Pros:
The customer service when setting up and ease of use. No code. Very simple and gives great accessibility to our website.
Cons:
I did have a few problems at the beginning with getting my billing info in correctly, but the customer service is great and they fixed it.
Alternatives Considered: AudioEye and accessiBe
Reasons for Switching to UserWay Accessibility Widget: I really liked the customer service team and felt that Userway gave more value for the price
From Purchase to Deployment in Minutes
Comments: Setup in minutes, requires almost zero maintenance. Never needed to contact customer service, as it just works.
Pros:
Incredibly easy to setup and maintain, blends seamlessly with our site design, provides a legal, perfect solution
Cons:
I have not had a bad interaction with UserWay.
Alternatives Considered: All In One Accessibility
Reasons for Switching to UserWay Accessibility Widget: Everything about UserWay was superior, from price to ease of setup/deployment, design, etc.
Effortless Accessibility with UserWay – A Must-Have for Any Website!
Comments: I couldn’t be more impressed with the UserWay Accessibility Widget. It’s incredibly easy to set up and customize, allowing me to tailor the widget to match my site's look and feel seamlessly. The range of accessibility features it offers - such as text resizing, contrast adjustments, and keyboard navigation -ensures that my site is usable for everyone. Most importantly, knowing my website is compliant with accessibility standards gives me peace of mind. UserWay makes web accessibility simple, effective, and stress-free. Highly recommend it!
Pros:
It's extremely easy to install and use. Customization of the widget icon and color are also a great feature.
Cons:
Some of the customization, specifically control over what functions appear on the main menu, is locked behind the next pricing tier. It would be nice if those options were available on first paid tier.
Alternatives Considered: Equally AI
Reasons for Switching to UserWay Accessibility Widget: I just liked the UserWay product better. The sales person I spoke with also gave me access to the Pro version for free, which really helped make my decision.
A Comprehensive Accessibility Solution
Comments: This widget truly checks all the boxes when it comes to accessibility. It goes beyond the basic requirements, offering a wide range of features to ensure an inclusive user experience. From text-to-speech functionalities to customizable font sizes and contrast options, the widget provides users with various tools to adapt the website according to their specific needs. In the rare instance that I needed assistance, the customer support team was responsive and provided helpful guidance. The documentation available is comprehensive, but knowing that prompt and knowledgeable support is readily available adds an extra layer of confidence.
Pros:
The installation process was seamless, even for someone with limited coding experience. The widget provides a straightforward interface where I could easily embed the generated code snippet into my website. The step-by-step instructions were clear, making the entire setup process efficient and hassle-free. One of the standout features of this widget is its commitment to compliance with accessibility standards. It not only meets but exceeds the requirements laid out by WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). The widget ensures compatibility with various assistive technologies, making my website accessible to users with disabilities. This commitment to compliance gives me peace of mind, knowing that my website adheres to the highest industry standards.
Cons:
The user interface of the widget dashboard is intuitive and user-friendly. Navigating through the settings and customizing accessibility features is straightforward. However, there is always room for improvement, and a minor enhancement in terms of organization and layout could make it even more user-centric.
Empowering and Necessary for all websites!!!
Comments: As a small business owner, I greatly appreciated the fast, efficient customer support I received to ensure that I did not miss any details. [sensitive content hidden] were also wonderful at problem-solving.
Pros:
The opportunity to allow the user complete control is empowering!! Whether it's a long-term disability or maybe a bad headache, the user can modify the experience to meet their needs. I run my own business and every dollar spent is a thoughtful investment. This is by far one of the best investments!!
Cons:
I cannot sign up for a tutorial until July, but I wanted to get this going now. That being said, it was unclear that my laptop and phone would offer some different features. I wish ADHD were one of the features on an iPhone. We have more emerging adults who use phones vs laptops, and this would be a helpful feature, especially for the clients I support.
Alternatives Considered: accessiBe
Reasons for Switching to UserWay Accessibility Widget: For $10 more a month, UserWay provides more language options. I'd prefer to think big and inclusive when it comes to offering mental health group options.
UserWay Response

We're glad to hear you see the value so far! All available profiles and user options are shown, but not every device supports every option. There are some ADHD friendly features that are not available on mobile devices, which is why the full profile is not available. For more information, please reach out to [email protected]

Leaving blank. I have no issues with the widget.

Reasons for Switching to UserWay Accessibility Widget: Price. That's all, but this field has a minimum of 40 characters.
Expensive But Gives Peace of Mind
Comments: Easy implementation and no maintenance.
Pros:
We have not received any legal threats since implementing this software. This peace of mind is great for our ownership.
Cons:
The price is high for what it is considering it seems to be a pretty simple widget.
Alternatives Considered: Yardi Voyager
Reasons for Switching to UserWay Accessibility Widget: More broad protection and guarantee and built specifically for our goal of accessibility and lowering legal risk.
Amazing product, outstanding service!
Comments: Userway stands out as the optimal choice for websites featuring diverse content. As an individual highly attuned to movement and light, I personally find immense satisfaction in utilizing Userway whenever I navigate a supported website. Since integrating Userway, our site visitors engage with it daily, actively clicking and utilizing its features. It brings me joy to know that we've enhanced their overall experience with this exceptional tool.
Pros:
I explored various options prior to reaching this decision. What I appreciate about Userway is the simplicity of their process. Their AI, particularly in image naming, exceeded my expectations, even identifying a look-alike for one of our team members! What stood out for me was the transparency and the ability to delve into the details. Unlike other software, Userway provides an immediate and comprehensive list of the fixes made, and it allows you to manually adjust anything and everything. In the inevitable event of the AI making a mistake, Userway empowers you to easily correct and customize as needed. Initially dreading a time-consuming task, I was pleasantly surprised that Userway efficiently handled the majority of the work for our website. Only a few hours of remediation and validation were required, marking a significant success. I needed assistance with the initial setup, and the support team went above and beyond. They were not only quick and helpful but consistently knowledgeable and resourceful!
Cons:
Can't change the iframe description with Userway, so I couldn't make them accessible with the tool.
Alternatives Considered: accessiBe and All In One Accessibility
Reasons for Switching to UserWay Accessibility Widget: Ease of use, access to the elements and ability to edit after the AI does its first scan. Plus stellar customer service
Simple, effective accessibility tool for clients websites
Pros:
I like that i can deploy the widget on any website quickly and have an option for users to use the tools this has to offer.
Cons:
We have not used the product long enough at this point to completely understand what is not to like about the product.
UserWay Is the best Accessibility Widget and Customer Service is wonderful
Comments: Overall, my experience with the UserWay Accessibility Widget has been excellent. It has become an essential tool in my toolkit as a web developer, allowing me to effortlessly incorporate accessibility features into the websites I create for clients. The widget's ease of use, comprehensive accessibility features, and seamless integration with various platforms have made it a go-to solution for ensuring that my clients' websites are accessible to all users. Furthermore, the exceptional customer support provided by UserWay, exemplified by my recent interaction with [sensitive content hidden] reinforces my confidence in the product and the company behind it. I look forward to continuing to utilize and recommend the UserWay Accessibility Widget for future projects.
Pros:
The thing I liked most about the UserWay Accessibility Widget is its simplicity and effectiveness. As a web developer, I appreciate tools that are easy to implement and use, and the UserWay widget fits the bill perfectly. It seamlessly integrates into both custom WordPress sites and proprietary custom CMS sites, allowing me to provide clients with a straightforward accessibility solution for their websites without hassle. Additionally, the range of accessibility features offered by the widget is impressive, catering to various needs of users with disabilities, including text-to-speech, font and contrast adjustment, keyboard navigation, and compatibility with screen reader software. This comprehensive approach ensures that the websites I develop are accessible to a wide audience, aligning with accessibility standards and regulations.
Cons:
While my experience with the UserWay Accessibility Widget has been overwhelmingly positive, there are a few minor drawbacks worth mentioning. One aspect that I found slightly limiting is the customization options available within the widget. While the essential accessibility features are well-implemented and customizable to some extent, there may be cases where clients require more advanced customization options to align with their specific branding or user preferences. Additionally, although the widget is generally user-friendly, there could be improvements in the user interface to make certain features more intuitive, especially for clients who may not be as tech-savvy.

There really isnt anything that I can think of that I dont like.
When you find your way you don't look for another
Pros:
I love simple and powerful solutions. Once I discovered the UserWay I haven't looked any other way. I love that by just adding my website link in the search bar and pressing click, within a fragment of time, I am informed about the state of my website when it comes to the legal requirements. The Accessibility Widget it's an incredible, diverse tool, so easy to implement even when you're not tech-savvy and for me there is still so much to explore. Love it!

Does the job

Pros:
It is easy to spot and use on the page- especially desktop
Cons:
I don't think there's anything we dislike, and we've never received any complaints. I would like it if it had reports on how many times it has been used.
