Employee software of the future, more than just schedules.

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: We implemented this software slowly and it has become a great tool. I would like to see it connected to our time clocks so that we can better track our hours and punches without having to take extra steps. As with anything new, there is a learning curve and a slow integration to make it cohesive.

Pros:

There is much more to this software than meets the eye. We use it for shifts, schedules, bonuses, accountability and earned rewards. It is also a great communication tool for staff.

Cons:

As with any program, what it lacks or struggles with is do to user error or a missed step of an authorized user. Most issues will be generated by the users themselves and NOT the actual software or program.

Great for complicated scheduling issues

4.0 5 years ago

Comments: We have been able to remove overtime from schedules and make it easy to send out notices for open shifts.

Pros:

This is a great product for the complicated shifts that the healthcare industry generally have. Easy for the employees to access their schedule, as well as pickup shifts when they become available. Although there are a few quirks, overall it is a great tool.

Cons:

Administrator functions are limited. We cannot add an employee without reaching out to Customer Support, which slows down the process when there is a glitch with the integration to our HRIS system.

OnShift Review

1.0 3 years ago

Pros:

The best part of this software is the messaging part. It is easy to mass message and get info out quickly.

Cons:

The scheduling part of it, the reason we got it, just didnt work for us. We had a lot of issues and we use real time and the system doesnt work that way and it was just really hard to use and keep up with.

A great scheduling tool

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: OnShift keeps everyone on the same page and cancels out many excuses that people use when absent or tardy. Get this tool so your staff show up on time and ready to work.

Pros:

Onshift is a great app to help my staff know when they are scheduled to show up to work. It is most valuable when some staff are full-time and some part-time. I used to just print out the schedule and leave it out side my office. Now, every staff member gets alerts and reminders to come in to work. There are no more I forgot or I thought I was scheduled for tomorrow. All staff know when they are scheduled and expected to come in.

Cons:

Some times the messages take some time to get delivered to the recipient.

Our transition to OnShift has been excellent, employees love it!

5.0 8 years ago

Pros:

The implementation team was outstanding. They are knowledgeable, available, take on extra work to ensure a smooth transition. They were great to work with as we first implemented OnShift, then had a payroll vendor change. They went into the new payroll software for us and actually wrote the report we need to transmit data to and from payroll and Onshift vs. just telling us how to write the report and then test it. Going above and beyond like that makes them a valued partner.

Easy to Use, Very Convenient!

5.0 6 years ago

Pros:

It's very user-friendly, and simplifies shift scheduling and picking up extra shifts or requesting to have a shift off. As an employee, it's a very convenient application for creating, viewing, and editing my work schedule.

Cons:

While it does give you the option to see who you're working with and how many others in general are already scheduled on a particular shift, it does not seem to have this option when viewing potential shifts to pick up. It would be more helpful to know how many people are already scheduled, to see if it's even worth requesting to schedule yourself for.

Inexperienced

2.0 5 years ago

Comments: My company bought this for several nursing homes. All administrators are disappointed and frustrated.

Pros:

There is a phone app for the employees to use.

Cons:

Very difficult to learn. No face to face training available. Staff lack knowledge of long term care norms which make it difficult to understand the needs of potential customers. "Trainers" are demanding and inconsiderate of the time of their customers, often rude. Initial presentation is off-putting making it difficult to proceed. Not a good company to work with.
