ISN is great for inspectors
Comments: Overall I enjoy the software. Some learning still to do and some improvements still needing to be made in the software to make it more use friendly. It simply has a ton of features but many that I don't use or don't really know how to use.
Pros:
ISN has been a great addition to our business. I like the automation aspect it brings to scheduling and customer follow-up.
Cons:
I feel tutorials on the various items in the software would be very helpful. I'd also like to see multiple options for charges by square footage. I'd like to set some types of inspections to be charged a fee based on a range of square footage (i.e., $200 for 1500sf) as well as being able to setup another type of inspection that might be charged just by square footage (i.e., Warehouses get charge $0.10 per square foot). As it is now, I have to calculate a range and can't that level of drill down while having another calculation method. It's manageable but at the time it can be better.
Great Product
Comments: Overall I am very happy with ISN, I think it is a great system. However, I can also see ISN being left behind by it's competitors if certain things aren't done - reports don't really help on performance of a business, the ARM needs to be updated for marketing efforts, there HAS to be an email drip campaign. Take a look at he activity tracker that [sensitive content hidden] has on our monthly calls. The are real things that franchise owners bring to us - not one offs like from our big [sensitive content hidden]. If these guys and gals are asking for this stuff I can only imagine what the independents are needing.
Pros:
Company has used this product for years. Great product and owners love it.
Cons:
No drip campaign, making an email seems like I stepped back in time to 2001 - just look at the user inteface. Also when I pick a container in the email template maker I can't see what it looks like. ARM seems like it was half way thought out and then forgotten about. Why in the world isn't the client and agents automatically set up to receive text messages. You have to select a text box. The reports aren't very useful. They don't get into the heart of business management.

The Good, The Bad, and The Frustrating
Comments: Very mixed. Do we use it every day and is it an essential tool? Yes. Do I think there can be huge improvements? Yes. Do I feel listened to as a customer? No
Pros:
ISN is easy to use, staff can pick up on training quickly, and most of how ISN is used has a very intuitive interface. You can build out more complicated processes and streamline how you communicate with your clients relatively easily. The more you put into ISN the more automated your life can be. The automation and high level of tracking for individual orders and to the company as a whole have been the best features.
Cons:
Ever since Porch purchased ISN they have been on a steady decline in the product and customer service. They are definitely doing forced migrations to use tools that circle back to Porch and adding another layer of complication in our communication with our clients. Customer service has also been severely lacking, as a long-time user I often feel I know more about the interworking of ISN than the first level of tech support, and problems often are not resolved or take forever to resolve. The price increase was also pitched as a saving, but in actuality doubled our costs. They also have a habit of pushing out updates on MONDAY!!! where there is pure chaos as nothing works right and we are left to limp along until they put patches and fix bugs. It has even gotten so bad that it has impacted our ability to make money.

Residential/Commercial Inspections
Comments: My sole purpose for using ISN, is booking inspections. I like the notifications that are sent out.
Pros:
Keeps a record of every inspection I’ve completed.
Cons:
I don’t like being charged an additional $20/month to have access to SMS messaging services. I feel what I pay/year should cover anything/everything that is required for scheduling inspections.

ISN report writing software
Comments: Good tech support just hard to learn fast.
Pros:
Tech support is very helpful. I also like the flex fund option.
Cons:
Report writing software is complicated, may get better in time

Outdated and Unnecessarily Complicated
Comments: Overall we decided to move on to a different product that can accomplish 99% of what ISN does with much more understandable user interfaces and far less redundancy.
Pros:
The best thing this software has going for it is how long it's been around. This means a vast library of integrations with other products in the industry. This is very useful. There's also a large feature so that you can complete a task a variety of ways.
Cons:
The software is incredibly complicated and disorganized. Titles of many sections don't make sense for what is contained in that section. Deploying the software is cumbersome. At times their own customer support either doesn't know how it works or they are unable to explain a feature adequately enough that you can use it. This is not an indictment on the customer service, yet, more of a criticism of the software design itself. The software is plagued with redundancy and complexity that just seems unnecessary and cumbersome.

Reasons for Switching to Inspection Support Network: We did not, we ultimately abandoned efforts to deploy ISN.

Comments: It has helped the flow of my business.
Pros:
I began using this to automate sending and signing my pre-inspection agreement. It does that very well! I will probably hang around because I am able to automatically notify my 3rd parties (termite, septic, etc) just with the click of a button (once you've set it up correctly). This has been an excellent little time saver.
Cons:
For as long as they have been around, their app is pretty basic and a little slow. I don't want it to be complex, but I wish I had all the options for scheduling a job on the app as I do the desktop version.

Have used ISN for at least 8 years
Comments: I used ISN before porch bought in. Prior to that, it was great and functioned great and smoothly. It has become increasingly more difficult to use with longer lag times, and days we just can't even log in. We are concerned about our client data and do not want it shared with anyone. In addition, we are not happy that because we don't use porch, we pay an exorbitant amount of money for a program that is not as good now as it was years ago. In addition, why are they doing updates during business hours when it adversely impacts everyone's scheduling. They have done updates on the busiest days of the week instead of at night or on the weekend. This needs to stop happening as it is not good for business.
Pros:
I love the system itself. It is so easy and user friendly. The orders are easy to read and schedule and it is easy to train new people. I like being able to pull reports for inspectors to help with payroll. I like the automated email and text messages that I have set up.
Cons:
So, I would like to be able to pull more accurate reports that tell how many services are added with inspections to know how marketing is going. I do not like how slow it is now and how hard it is to even get it to open. Scheduling online has always been big for us and it has been hard for people to use because of the issues.

I can set up, schedule and confirm inspections in minutes. The program is reliable. The support is extraordinarily good.

Customize everything
Comments: Experience has been excellent. Starting up they have a web meeting to go over the product and are always there to help you figure out what you need. They don't just "do" everything for you. They will show you "how" to if you ask them.
Pros:
You can customize ISN to do almost anything you can imagine.
Cons:
They do not have the ability to add an algorithm to the pricing model for inspections. I base my inspections on age and sqft. There is no way for the client to get an accurate cost on the home inspection when they use the online scheduler. I have to run the numbers every time an inspection is scheduled online.

Comments: With the combination of containers and templates, we are able to communicate efficiently with our clients.
Pros:
Easy features to use and will allow your company to work more efficiently.
Cons:
I wish it were possible to have two Agenda Calendars visible on the same page Calendar Page to run two different teams of inspectors.

I could not live without ISN. To small to bring these functions inhouse.
Comments: All in all I am extremely thankful for the service. It has made doing things like follow up emails to clients, sending agreements and providing lots of brochures to clients I likely would not do otherwise.
Pros:
Works seamlessly to stay in contact with clients, follow up email features are fantastic! Emails reports and agreements with no effort on my part.
Cons:
It is a pretty complex system and has taken me quite sometime to become familiar enough that I can fix most issues myself.

Cons:
since [sensitive content hidden] left, seems more impersonal and catering to the owners than the consumers. Porch is a clear example of this and amazed with all the backlash and hate mail you guys have gotten that someone didn't think that through before the purchase.

Business support software excellent!
Comments: I think overall ISN software is awesome!
Pros:
Helps me streamline the process of setting up inspections and communicating with all parties involved in the inspection ie, realtors, buyers, sellers and listing agents. Make my job easier.
Cons:
I need to create better custom reports to help balance my bank statement at the end of the month. I'm going to work on that. eventually I would like to transfer client data and payment information directly into my quickbooks. Need to figure out how to do that to save me time there so I can grow our business.

Pros:
Integrations with other systems and software are nice as well as the continued added features. The help system is well organized and the support staff is responsive and helpful.
Cons:
Some limited options with customizability or advanced features are not able to be done.

Stop shoving porch down our throat
Comments: Sub par. Porch ruined the experience more than once.
Pros:
Scheduling, payments and easy to use as well
Cons:
Owned by Porch, and Porch tries to overtake your company with their branding and doesn't inform you of changes that annoy my clients and customers.

Comments: Their customer support team is second to none. Always available to answer questions and help troubleshoot issues as they arise.

ISN and its review
Comments: Ive had isn since january 2016 and its been good to keep things tracked and pull up old jobs if needed on the fly. They need a mobil app.
Pros:
I like that the interface is user friendly.
Cons:
I dont like that it doesnt get as many updates as it deserves.

Comments: My experience has been good so far! When I first started using ISN the customer service was really helpful to me with navigating through the program.
Pros:
Fairly easy to use once you know where everything is.
Cons:
That if I hover over unknown icons, a pop up of what the icon is doesn’t show. Duplicate client and agents can easily be made.
