Easy to handle billing of Durable Medical Equipment
Comments: We are handling a practice of Durable Medical Equipment on brightree we are happy with the progress because it’s very helpful to new user

step to scrub the claim is very easy and also update with new and guideline’s

Brightree Review
Pros:
I like a lot of the features that Brightree has to offer, if everything was sold as 1 program and not have to purchase " a la cart" items it would be even better, but just having the general brightree program its really great and easy to use.
Cons:
I do not like the fact that you pay 1 price for the program, but when going through the setup, there are a TON and i mean a TON of "a la cart" items that you need to purchase on top of the regular brightree cost, this is also never explained when its being sold to you. So do do your job you need all these extra items that you have to pay more for, which doesnt seem right.
Unfulfilled promises
Comments: Overall, Brightree is a software that is cheaper than EPIC & HCHB, more compliant than some others (e.g., Wellsky) and it has a more attractive cloud-based interface than Casamba or Netsmart. However, it leaves the impression that it tries to be too many things instead of keeping it simple. Adding copious amounts of integrations makes it difficult to get IT support, because every product integration has a different support ticket staff.
Pros:
Brightree (AKA MatrixCare) utilizes branching documentation, which means the clinicians save time bypassing irrelevant documentation screens. It has an attractive interface for both mobile users in the field as well as back-office users. The implementation and sales teams were very helpful and accommodating.
Cons:
Brightree sales & implementation made several promises to us that were not true. They promised that the software could be used by iPads that were offline, but this was not true and it created countless hours of headache for clinicians and administrative staff. After a year of frequent support tickets, nurses quitting due to technical difficulties with documentation, our company purchased WiFi tablets which fixed 90% of the problems. Brightree often advertises integrations with 3rd party companies to add services at little or no charge. Our company took advantage of those offers a couple of times and the integrations were either difficult to implement or were glitchy and did not perform as promised.

Comments: Overall it works very well for me to be able to do my daily work.
Pros:
How it is easy to maneuver thru when searching for people information to be able to see if due for a reorder.
Cons:
Freezes alot when trying to pull up information or times our in middle of doing something.
Failed Promises
Comments: We were told that this software would make our jobs easier, that everything would be automatic and save work time for all employees. None of this was true and this has only made our jobs worse and put more work on all of us. Our training and implementation were a train wreck and still have yet to get the training and reports that we need. We have had to do nothing but clean up in this new system since it was implemented and we keep getting the run around from everyone who is "helping" us. Everything that we do know is because of playing around in the system and figuring it out on our own. Horrible company to work with. We were also told after the fact that certain programs, that we thought were included, were not included and everything needs to be added on with an additional cost. We are losing more money since switching to this software, than we are making money.
Pros:
That we were told this software would make our jobs easier and everything we needed was at the push of a button.
Cons:
That everything we were told about this software is a lie. All they want to do is take money from small companies like ours.
Not what we were sold
Comments: We shown a system at our demo, prior to purchase, that had great reporting capabilities. It would be a time-saver for our staff. We would get real-time reporting on revenue and employee activity. None of this has been true. We went live over 8 months ago and we are still in the implementation phase.
Pros:
We liked the "possibilities". It does have a modern "look" compared to our legacy system.
Cons:
Inaccurate reporting, too many keystrokes for a simple retail sale, too much going "back and forth" between screens to complete simple tasks.
Shady way to do buisness
Comments: I have been using Brightree for 3 years. It's been ok. Not good but not terrible. It's super hard to track AR as the system starts the billing cycle when the patient is entered not when a device is delivered or service is rendered. So if you delivered a device or service 60 after inputting the patients work in progress, the AR report would say its 60 past due the day it is delivered. This is super frustrating and makes it hard to manage AR. The worst thing is that they slip in an auto contract renewal so that they can strong arm you into paying for service even if you are asking to terminate. Its very shady!! If you don't give 90 notice prior to your "auto renewal" you are obligated to pay for another year. We tried to cancel but we did not have 90 days until our renewal. We have been told that we have to pay for another years service. Like I said, super shady way to do business. So now we are forced to pay for a year of Brightree along with our new billing software.

Comments: It was not fun. Too many bugs and the implementation took way too long to finish.
Pros:
Its use to be the only product that can do what it does in the DME industry.
Cons:
They have already covered 70% of the DME market so they no longer care about their customer's needs. The software has too many pop-us and is super glitchy at times especially after a production release.
Below average
Pros:
Nothing. Its dated and unnecessarily hard to learn.
Cons:
Software is unnecessary hard to use because its dated. Loads slowly. Easy to accidentally delete files. Difficult to distinguish documents be orders. There are better options out there.
BE AWARE OF BRIGHTREE
Comments: I used Brightree for years and when I tried to get out I feel like they totally charged me an exorbitant amount, denied my access for the dates that I was supposed to be able to use the product. Be very careful with this company.
