RxBLU - an excellent choice for startups and customization

Comments: Overall experience with RxBLU was excellent.

Pros:

The greatest aspect of RxBLU had to be the constant access to assistance with any technical related issues. [sensitive content hidden] was my point of contact for any inquiries. He was always able to assist with any issues I had in a timely manner and demonstrated a high level of knowledge. He would often make suggestions beyond the scope of what we realized we even needed to help drive efficient workflow utilizing the software.

Cons:

The only con I have with the program is that it would sometimes get stuck on the pop up window when entering or editing patient information.

Robust Pharmacy software

Comments: Very good.

Pros:

The system is robust. We almost didn't need to call customer service for help after we set it up about a year ago.

Cons:

Cloud base software is great but it takes some time to jump thru the hoop with your IT department at the time of setup. After it is done, it works perfectly as long as your IT team doesn't change much in your IT system.

Works decently, but not intuitive to use

Comments: Fortunately I am adept at using pharmacy softwares, however, my coworkers are not. I am happy to coach them myself with what I have learned about RxBLU, however, we do not have an efficient workflow. I believe our RxBLU experience would be much better if a guide on the RxBLU website explained how to perform certain tasks (ex. "How to reverse a C.O.B. submission in the Adjudication Screen" or "How to add a new insurance in the Reports application")

Pros:

Processing refills are straightforward and efficient. We and our patients love the text messaging feature, which has saved us a lot of time being on the phone.

Cons:

Using the software is not intuitive. The training process for clients to use it needs to be improved. An instruction manual online on how to do certain tasks would be incredibly helpful.

Cloud Based, Fast and efficient Rx processing system. Great company to work with.

Comments: Excellent. RxBlu is the perfect fit for my needs in that they can offer the best solution in terms offunctionality and customer support.Finally, a PMS that delivers and supports my efforts in this journey!

Pros:

I find the software to be very innovative and intuitive - one can update info (pt, dr, medication) and perform day to day tasks right from the main screen, without having to run all sorts of reports. Processing prescriptions is a breeze and the mouse use is minimal - if you have a touch screen like I do, you will love it even more.Beta stores and customer support. Unlike other software companies I have used in the past,with crashes and issues every time they had an update, RxBlu is using “beta-stores” to test thenew program features prior to releasing them, so I really don’t anticipate having to call customersupport as much - however, their customer support is the best - very friendly and willing to help.As an added bonus, the developers are willing to add extra features per your request wheneverpossible. I was amazed how quickly they were able to add the “will call/ready rx” report to themain screen, which also allows me to return to stock rxs not being picked up.From the very start , they made my transition from my previous software easy and they initiatedall the necessary setups (PMP reporting, APPRISS, etc.) as part of the transition.

Cons:

I can not think of any features that I dislike.

Comments: My overall experiences have been great. Any integrations with 3rd parties have have been completed in a swift and timely manner.

Pros:

Since the software is cloud based, I have a copy of it on my laptop and can access it from anywhere I have an internet connection. Also, no expensive servers to buy and maintain, and no back-up tapes to run.

Cons:

Smallish company, so some integrations need to be developed and not already in place.
