PrimePay Good Service

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: PrimePay in general has been very responsive to our needs and requests. Having worked with multiple payroll companies in the past, I appreciate the large array of features combined with high touch customer service. I definitely recommend them.

Pros:

The software is more customizable than most. The customer service and responsiveness is quite good for a payroll company. PrimePay manages to deliver high quality features like a large company, but more high touch service like a smaller company.

Cons:

There is a limit to customization. The software cannot show a running tally of a person's hours worked per workweek on their time card in the mobile version. This has caused our mobile employees some issues in the field because they must manually add their timecards to stay on track for weekly hours and avoid unauthorized overtime.

PrimePay is the best payroll service

5.0 2 months ago

Comments: Been using PrimePay for more than 10 years. I have used all of the others but Primepay is the best!

Pros:

Ease of use and customer service is the best but seldom needed. All services are integrated into one module. No logging back into another system to get your reports like some others.

Cons:

Cost is moderately high but not the highest cost provider

If you are looking for Drama in your life - hire Prime Pay!

1.0 7 months ago

Comments: Disaster. By far the worst business experience I have had. I'm not sure if they were just that incapable or just didn't blatantly care. Either way, it caused immense stress for me and my team. Still waiting to see if they paid all the taxes in a timely manner as they were not able to do anything else effectively - like call a client back or answer ANY questions.

Pros:

Leaving them and hiring someone who was competent at the product they are selling.

Cons:

The entire time there. We still have multiple issues which have not been resolved. We requested to leave our contract after 8 weeks! due to the constant/excessive issues with Prime Pay and still have not received a response on next steps to terminate our relationship.

New Payroll Provider

4.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Overall it's been good, but there have been issues as is expected when learning a new program and everything but I have had a good team from PrimePay helping me along the way.

Pros:

I like that the money is impounded with each payroll run and that the quarterly reports are done within the organization.

Cons:

I don't like that I don't have as much control as I used to with my previous payroll provider.

Comments: Our overall experience has been good and the implementation team has been wonderful.

Pros:

Position control feature, time and attendance module is very robust. The implementation process has been efficient and organized.

Cons:

The workflows for job changes, status changes, pay rates, etc. does not have the ability to create multiple approval levels. PrimePay could really improve on making this process more dynamic and be customable from the client side.

My review of Primepay

4.0 2 months ago

Comments: My overall experience with prime pay is pretty good

Pros:

I really like talking to support technicians like [sensitive content hidden] that demonstrates a strong ability to make you feel that they are knowledgeable and understand the different aspects of primepay.

Cons:

It still lacks more update within the system creating more work. Follow thru from technicians. Resolutions to issues. I didn't like the lack of accountability on an issue that was told I was at fault.

PrimePay is a great payroll system!

5.0 2 months ago

Comments: We started using PrimePay with full-service where they would call and take payroll over the phone. Our manager was friendly and extremely helpful. Once we switched to self service payroll, it not only saved us money but was easier to use because I could do payroll whenever I wanted. We love PrimePay!

Pros:

Our payroll person was a great communicator and once we switched to self service payroll, we found PrimePay's system easy to navigate and the videos to be very informative.

Cons:

So far we haven't had any negative experiences except for having to wait for a response, which could sometimes take a day or more...

Was an amazing vendor then went down hill

3.0 6 months ago

Comments: A couple of years ago I would have given PrimePay 5 stars across the board. I loved the rep I worked with, they provided timely assistance and our payroll was a breeze to submit and approve. Then in the last year that all changed, and I would have been giving them 1 star across the board. No longer did I have a designated rep. No longer did I receive timely responses. And no longer was my payroll a breeze to submit. Every single thing became painful to do and it felt like pulling teeth to get anything done. If you tried to call you would be on hold for hours but it could be days or weeks to get a response to an email. We were at the point of contacting alternative solutions so that we could go on to fire them when they sent out an email apologizing for their horrible service and outlined their plan to approve. Since we had 5+ years of amazing service and the horrible service had only been going on for about 6 months we decided to give them a chance to redeem themselves. So far we are glad we did. Customer service is not back to where it was before the drastic change. And with no longer having a designated payroll rep I honestly don't know that it ever will. But payroll is no longer painful to run and you can actually get ahold of customer service and get a response/help in a timely manner. I hope that they continue on this pay and get back to being a superior payroll provider in the coming months.

Pros:

-They handle everything for you so you don't need multiple services

Cons:

-Time it can take to get a response back -How long it now takes to process payroll. It used to be I could submit and would hear back in a couple hours with reports to approve. Now I submit on a Monday morning and I don't typically hear back until midday on Wednesday.

Payroll processing

4.0 7 months ago

Comments: Overall PrimePay has been easy to use with minimal issues. Most issues have been since 2022 and forward. The issues we had has been taken care of and fixed.

Pros:

PrimePay is very easy to navigate and process payrolls.

Cons:

We had issues with the Cloud for Support for months but now it is up and running for me. When updates are done, sometimes things change in PrimePay without being known or told and can cause some stress but it is usually fixed in the near future.

Stay with PRIMEPAY!

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: I love the reminders when I am supposed to get everyone's hours and submit so everyone gets paid on time. GREAT move adding that feature!

Pros:

I love these people! Customer service is great as I get someone to answer my "mishaps" and their babysitting technique. The prices are not the lowest but they are fair and GREAT service is worth the extra 27 cents. I will be with them for a LONNNG time!

Cons:

Don't know yet ................. Life is good with PrimePay!!

Newly implemented HR, Payroll and Time and Attendance

4.0 8 months ago

Pros:

The customer service has been excellent. All of the employees have been very friendly and are super responsive. If I find something that I want corrected, they typically fix it within a day or they have let me know that they are working on finding an answer. We have been able to set up the system in the way that works best for our company and PrimePay has worked to make their system very user friendly.

Cons:

I feel we should have had more time for implementation. Both of our first payrolls took a lot of time to complete. I think it would have gone smoother if we had additional time to set up the features in the system to work best for us. Some of the live training sessions were not very productive either. I really liked [sensitive content hidden], who did most of our live training. She tailored the training to us and seemed to know more about the system. She also was prepared with which systems we were set up for and it seemed she had talked with our implementation team before our training. That helped her to better answer our questions that we had. I did not get as much out of the other live training sessions.

BZI Payroll Review

4.0 8 months ago

Comments: As with any product, it has its pros and cons.

Pros:

Integration with our financial software. Configurable reports. Ease of use in payroll management and processing. Ease of use in time off requesting, life events, and benefit management. I9 management and verification. The implementation and customer support teams have been great to work with.

Cons:

No 360 EDI feed for our benefits. Tax allocation issues with crews working in multiple states. No option to upload person documents per employees, just has company upload. Can't customize access/permission per managers and administrators, strictly role based. We have a parent company with multiple subsidiaries, there is no way to transfer between without termination and rehire, which makes a mess with benefits and tenure. :(

Primepay - not my first choice

2.0 4 months ago

Comments: It was a bit traumatic. Very hard to get hold of someone and using their 'ticketing' system was awful. They are just now (sept) answering emails from June! Tickets would get closed with zero action taken.

Pros:

The gross to net calculation. The product is reasonably easy to use.

Cons:

Customer support or lack thereof. Inaccurate earnings codes set up etc.

[sensitive content hidden] to the rescue

Comments: Back in December 2023, it was a little frustrating. But after a few phone calls everything was straightened out. And [sensitive content hidden] really jumped on the problem.
All good now.

Pros:

[sensitive content hidden] was very understanding of my situation. Handled it with professionalism.

Cons:

Back in December 2023, the wait time to talk to someone was very long. But things have changed now. Everything is running smoothly.

Your Payroll system is awful

1.0 10 months ago

Comments: Worse than Horrible - Excruciatingly Painful and the most frustrating organization that I have ever done business with. Also I put in a request for a 1099 for a company that did work for us and I received a message that it was handled but the 1099 did not arrive. So I call and PP said they would resend - that was weeks ago and I still have not received it.

Pros:

The W-2 forms were sent on time. Other than that Nothing!!! - it sucks.

Cons:

It is so difficult to set up the pay rate - the system keeps doubling the pay rate for one of the employees and I have to get help through customer support every month. When I call Customer Support I usually have to wait an hour to get help. Sometimes after listening to "Your call is important to us please hang on the line and your call will be answered by the next available agent" for an hour the phone hangs up on me. When I do get the agent, they fix it and tell me that it is all set for the next payroll and I won't have that problem again but the next month goes by and I have the same problem again - month after month after frickin' month.

Some good some bad

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: The people that I talk to on the phone are extremely nice and very helpful. I do not blame them for the year-end debacle that blame goes squarely to management. Supposedly, management has solved last year's year-end problems. ...I am waiting with bated breath...

Pros:

Very timely call backs for payroll after the year-end debacle.

Cons:

Their year-end debacle was horrible. I would call in for payroll at 9:30 to 10:00 am but would not get a call back until mid to late afternoon. This is a problem for me because I only work part-time, and they would sometimes call when I was ready to leave.
